Chobham Flower Festival 2013
The Chobham Flower Festival 2013 included Gabriel Fauré’s sublime setting of the Requiem Mass. Justifiably one of the best known works in the choral repertoire and this beautiful piece was heard in the unique candlelit surroundings of Chobham’s ancient Church. The programme also featured other shorter French pieces, including two further well known works by Fauré – the ‘Cantique de Jean Racine’ and the ‘Pavane’.
The concert was sung by a special group of singers, girls and gentlemen, from London’s famous St. Paul’s Cathedral with instrumental and chamber organ accompaniment conducted by the Festival’s Musical Director, Dale Chambers.

A new event for the Chobham Festival in 2013 was the UK’s leading Abba Tribute band. The concert was held at the Chobham Club. Since their formation in 2002, Planet Abba has grown in both popularity and reputation, and so too has their stage show.
