Wednesday 7th December 2011, 3pm until 8.30pm

Once again shops, restaurants and pubs in and around Chobham High Street are celebrating Christmas with a Christmas Extravaganza. Some of the proceeds go to charity, including the Chobham Youth and Epilepsy Research UK.

Driving in? Car Parking is free on the night behind Chobham Rider!!

 

What’s going on:

  • Carol Singing outside Chobham St. Lawrence Church from 6pm - 8pm
  • Chobham Museum will be showing a Victorian Christmas tree & Christmas display
  • Morris Men of Chobham will be performing from 7.00pm up and down the High Street
  • The Mayor of Surrey and Father Christmas will be walking down the High Street from 3.30pm.
  • The Mayor of Surrey will switch on the lights of the Christmas tree
  • Chobham Business Club will also judge the best dressed window on the night.
  • Wooldridge and Sleep florist will be providing an opportunity to make a wreath

For the Family:

  • Santa Clause will be in his Grotto inside Whatnots for £2 to see him and have a present and £5 with a professional photographer Phil Cole taking a photo.
  • There will be a Children’s Merry-go-Round next door to Drakes, Face Painting in Flora Lou and Hair Plaiting in Velvet Rooms.
  • Pashas are offering Hot Chocolate and Marshmallows for the Children and Roast Chestnuts for the Adults.
  • The pubs and restaurants will be serving special treats

Christmas Shopping:

  • Farmers Market on Benhams corner – with a selection of mostly local producers offering vegetables, cheese, meat, patisseries, fudge, curries, gifts etc.
  • Shops opening late and some offering discounts and festive treats
  • Chobham Country Market within the Church Hall offering their Christmas Fayre.
  • Chobham Youth Club will be selling home-made cakes and cards
  • There will be an opportunity to pick up a form from shops to ‘spot the odd one out’ to win £100 to spend in any of the shops in Chobham.
