The Chobham Agricultural and Horticultural Society was founded in 1851, and the annual show is still a popular event in the village.

This year the show takes place on Saturday 20th September in the afternoon at the Village Hall. This year the show will feature competitions with classes for Vegetable, Fruit, Dahlias, Flowers, Floral Decoration, Art, Handicrafts, Photography, Wine as well as children’s classes.

As the village hall will be extremely busy, please keep the entrance and parking clear for people who are unable to walk to the show. If you are driving please park in the village car park (behind Chobham Rider).

Last year, the annual show saw a record number of entries. Maybe this year will be just as exciting!

Entry from 2pm

Gate opens at 2pm. Admission for adults will cost £1.50 (free for children under 16). Entry is free for members, but please remember to bring your membership card for 2014. Prize giving will be at 5pm followed by the drawing of the raffle.

The Chobham Society will have a display commemorating the centenary of the start of World War 1. Following the success of last year, the fun dog show will be repeated at 2.30pm. And the ever popular morris dancers will perform at about 3.30pm.

After a gap of 27 years, the Ag & Hort Society resurrected The Chobham Ploughing Match for the millennium. This year it will be held on Sunday 5th October, from 10.30am at Trumps Farm, Longcross.

Chobham Museum will also be open on the Saturday from 11am to 4pm. More details are available on their website: www.chobham.org/museum
