Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned temporary order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle, the overall width, together with load (if any) carried thereon, exceeds 6 feet 6 inches, to proceed in that length of Woodlands Lane (C4), Windlesham, which is carried by the road bridge over the M3 Motorway.
The Order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public and of serious damage to the road and will come into force on 29 November 2014, for a period of 18 months. The Order will only be operative while the relevant signs are displayed.
The alternative route for affected traffic will be via Woodlands Lane, Highams Lane, B386 Chertsey Road, Updown Hill and Woodlands Lane, or this route in reverse.
