For those without smart phone or computer, all the festive diary information is being shared in print as usual - in the parish magazine and in the Christmas card from Assistant Priest Chris Bedford and churchwardens Mike Driver and Linda Scrivener which has been delivered to nearly every home in the village.
Christmas celebrations begin at St Lawrence Church on Sunday December 16th with a candlelit Carol Service, starting at 6pm. A celebration, packed with well-loved carols and familiar Christmas readings, will be followed by seasonal refreshments in the church hall.
Voices are also needed for carol singing around the village on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 18th and 19th. There are no auditions for this choir. It’s just a matter of turning up at the village car park on one or both nights in time for a 7pm departure by car. If you would like to car share give Mike Driver a call on 01276 858760.
The Friends of St Lawrence Heritage Trust, which raises funds to pay for the care of the historic church buildings of St Lawrence and St Saviour, has its annual Wassail on Friday December 14th.
Tickets are £7.50 for generous servings of mulled wine, delicious nibbles and lots of singing and are available from Lucy Delacombe on 01276 858747
