The planned temporary closures are to allow for completion of the new roundabout; and during these times, traffic will be diverted via the A321 Marshall Road, the A30 London Road, the A322 Bracknell Road and the B3430 Nine Mile Ride. All diversion routes will be signposted.
Roadwords during off-peak hours
These road works form part of the planning conditions for the new hospital and the trust is working closely with Bracknell Forest Council and its contractors to minimise commuter inconvenience. David Phillips, redevelopment programme manager, said "By completing the roundabout during off-peak hours, we hope to lessen the impact the temporary closures have on residents in surrounding areas. However, as with any major road works, there may be some disruption. We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused in advance and reassure commuters that the trust will continue to do everything we can to make sure this is kept to a minimum."
The new road which will initially be used for construction traffic is scheduled to be completed in December 2013. Following the redevelopment project, it will become the main access route to the hospital, reducing the volume of traffic travelling through the Crowthorne area.
