All temporary road works on the A3095 (Foresters Way) are now complete. As part of the Broadmoor Hospital redevelopment project planning conditions, the trust is required to build an access road to divert construction traffic away from Crowthorne village. This involved installing a new roundabout and connecting it to the existing carriageway; which was completed towards the end of last week.
Between now and December 2013, when the new road opens for construction traffic, our contractors will be working on the section which leads up to the new hospital entrance, these works will not affect A3095 commuters. However, at the end of November, they will need to carry out some minor works on the A3095. These works will only be carried out during off peak hours and will require the reinstallation of the traffic management system for a short period.
The new road will not come into public use until 2017, when the new hospital is complete and it becomes the main access route to the hospital for staff and visitors.
The trust would like to thank you for your forbearance and your support in forwarding our correspondence to your stakeholders, which helped to ensure they were kept informed of our progress with the project.
